Paris Schools . . . Rich in Tradition, Focused on the Future
|CHROMEBOOKS FOR EVERY PARIS HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT
Paris Pride permeates the air we breathe at Paris Independent. Coupled with our focus on the future, there is no better place to be when school begins August 20 than among the teachers and students at Paris Elementary, Middle, and High schools. We are preparing for our 150th Anniversary celebration this year; one hundred and fifty years of a rich tradition of positively impacting our community and the students we serve. If the halls of our schools could only talk, the stories they tell would keep us grinning and bursting with pride for the next 150 years!

Paris Independent Schools to Celebrate 150 Years
|Paris Independent Schools has a long tradition of educating children in Paris and Bourbon County. Beginning in 1798 as the Bourbon Academy, and changing its name to Paris City Schools in 1865, this academic institution has established itself as a part of community history. The year 2015 marks the 150th anniversary of the Paris School District. A celebration of events is being planned for September including an exhibit at Hopewell Museum. The district is interested in collecting any historical information, documents, photos or items that could be a part of the display. Please contact the Paris Board of Education, 987-2160, or Hopewell Museum, 987-7274, for further information.
