Fairy Tale Ball

| After a cross cultural study of fairy tales, students in Mrs. Sturgeon's, Mrs. Waugh's, and Mrs. Morris' class dressed as a mystical character of their own and attended a ball complete with magical dancing, sumptuous snacks, and a new tale shared by Mrs. Privett! |

Art Gala

The hallways of PES recently looked like an art museum for our Art Gala. Students self selected a favorite piece of their artwork to display while schoolmates used a rubric to critique the pieces hanging throughout the hallways. |
African Art at the Hopewell Museum

PES classes have been visiting the Hopewell Museum to create their own African art. Brooklyn shows off her Senufo cloth that she made.

Blast Off!
|
The classrooms of Mrs. Morris, Mrs. Sturgeon and Mrs. Waugh presented a spectacular musical performance entitled Spaced Out. It was completely "out of this world!"

Saluting Our Heroes!
|
Staff Sergeant Tim Chambers spoke to our students at the morning meeting about the significance of being an American citizen. He spoke of patriotism, respect, compassion, and true heroism. Students listened attentively to his message.

PES Museum
|
| Bones, fossils, snakeskins, seashells, animal skulls and a great deal more were avalable for class tours to inspect recently at the PES Museum. There was even a West African display of culture and artifacts too! |

Kylee bravely pets a snake on the recent Kindergarten field trip.

Eye Spy!

| Third grade student, Heath, is "spying" on his classmates with a periscope. Ms. Lenhart's students made periscopes at the end of their unit on light to demonstrate one way that reflecting light can be used in the real world. |
Look Alike Day

The student government sponsored a day of fun by encouraging all staff and students to dress like others!

Pet Day!
|
|
Second grade students have been learning about living things and had the opportunity to celebrate their own pets by bringing them in to share. There were a number of critters including rabbits, cats, dogs, a gecko, and a virtual field trip to see one students farm pets!

Airplane Experiments
|
| During Science Camp week Ms. Lenhart's students conducted an experiment to see if the number of folds in a paper airplane would affect the distance of the flight. After sharing the results to the kindergarten class, they helped them make their own airplanes. |
