Paris Announces Academy of Health Science (AOHS)

Paris High School is excited to welcome its first class of students into the Paris Academy of Health Science (AOHS) in the fall of 2012.   This academy has been created through the National Academy Foundation (NAF). Paris will be one of eight high schools in the state of Kentucky with an academy, and the only health science academy.

The mission of the NAF is to sustain a national network of career academies to support the development of America’s youth toward personal and professional success in high school, in higher education, and throughout their careers. The mission of the Paris AOHS is to provide students an understanding of health science in order to make informed career decisions. Paris AOHS students will develop the academic knowledge and career skills needed to achieve personal and professional success. Paris is pleased to partner with Maysville Community College and multiple health professionals in our community in order to make this academy possible. Paris AOHS and Paris Promise Program Announce Summer Medical Camp

Mark your calendars! On August 9-10, 2012, Paris will host "Medical Camp 2012". This two day camp is sponsored by AOHS and the Promise Program. Cost for the camp is $10. Senior Emily Invergo Advances to State Tennis Tourney

Congratulations to Senior Emily Invergo who was awarded the "Sportsmanship Award" at the 2012 Tennis Regional Tournament. Emily will advance to state tournament play beginning May 17th after finishing as the region runner-up. Click here to view more photos from the tournament.

JKG Students Attend CDC Conference

On May 1st and 2nd, Paris High School JKG students competed at the annual JKG Career Development Competition at the Clarion Hotel in Lexington. Students have been preparing for this event for the past two months. There were 24 schools in all that competed from all over the state.  Click here to view the list of awards. Paris Alumni Banquet Scheduled for May 19, 2012

The 94^th annual Banquet of the Paris High School Alumni Association will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the Thomas A. Siwicki Center for Fine Arts cafeteria. The graduating class of 2012 will be honored guests. The speaker will be Mrs. Emma Carol Logan Linker, class of 1959. Seniors Travel to Chicago for 2012 Senior Trip

Fourteen seniors traveled to Chicago April 29 - May 2 for their senior trip. While there they went to Shedd's Aquarium, The Navy Pier, shopped on State Street and Michigan Avenue, ate Chicago style pizza, saw Millenium Park and spent good times with their friends! Students Recognized at Academic Honors Ceremony

The Academic Achievement Award was presented to Estelle Withrow at Paris High School's 29th Academic Honors Ceremony. Presenting the award are PHS Principal Mrs. Jami Dailey ( far left) and PHS Assistant Principal Mrs. Bertha Johnson.

Paris High School SBDM Council Set for 2012-13 School Year

Congratulations to Denise Enlow and Donzetta Myers who were elected as PHS parent representatives for the SBDM council for the 2012-2013 school year.    Rounding out the council are teacher representatives, Cary Barr, Amy Mason and Marty Seither.

Paris High School Prom 2012 - "A Night in Vegas"

Congratulations to seniors Justin Baker and Marisol Perez who were crowned Prom King and Queen on Saturday, April 28, 2012.  Junior Macy Allen was named Prom Princess.  Senior Grand March was held at the Siwicki Center for Fine Arts and the dance was held at The Prizing House in Cynthiana, Ky.  Click here to view the complete gallery.

Infinite Campus Parent Portal Now Mobile App

Infinite Campus can now be accessed from parents' smart phones! Log in to the Parent Portal then click on the "Available on the App Store" icon then follow directions listed. You will need a new user name for this app. Password remains the same. Email margaret.spickler@paris.kyschools.us or connie.appelman@paris.kyschools.us for new user name. Click here to view the schedule for Paris Pride Days! Pride Days give students and staff the opportunity to sport their Paris Pride! Jeans and a Paris t-shirt is proper attire for Paris Pride Days. Jeans may not have holes or frayed areas above the knees.
