Welcome to Paris Middle School!

Welcome to our website! 
One of our top priorities is active communication with parents and our community.  This website was designed to be a user-friendly communication tool.  We hope you will find the design aesthetically pleasing and the content current and informative.  Please access the site often for current news, important announcements, student photos, school forms and class information.  We welcome your feedback!

Eighth Grade Promotion to be held on May 24
Paris Middle School eighth grade students will be promoted to ninth grade during a Promotion Ceremony scheduled for Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Siwicki Center for Fine Arts.  Guest speaker will be Mr. Evan Ezell, PHS Class of 1999.  Eighth grade students should arrive by 6:30 that evening so the ceremony can begin promptly at 7.  Students are asked to please dress up for this event.  Male students are to wear dress pants, shirt with tie (suit jacket is optional) and female students are to wear a dress. 

Awards Day Scheduled for Thursday, May 24
Paris Middle School will hold an Awards Ceremony on Thursday, may 24, 2012 in the Siwicki Center for Fine Arts Auditorium from 8:30 - 9:45 a.m. 

Washington D. C. Trip Approved for 2012-13
 
Parents of current 6th and 7th grade students are encouraged to attend an informational meeting about next year's school trip to Washington D. C.  The meeting will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in the Library. 

Paris Middle SBDM Council Set for 2012-13 School Year
Congratulations to Chris Jones and Marcius Garr who were elected as Paris Middle School parent representatives for the SBDM council for the 2012-2013 school year.    Rounding out the council are teacher representatives, Bill Kissick, Chris Reed and Jennifer Steele.

WWII Hero Honored in Cadet Parade
 
Retired Lt. Colonel Kenneth T. McFarland, a World War II veteran, served as the grand marshal for the fourth annual 'Parade of Cadets' in Millersburg on Saturday, April 21, 2012.  Lt. Colonel McFarland is the great grandfather of Paris Middle School eighth grade student and Cadet Corp member, Cadet Sgt. Matthew Puryear.  Matt follows a long-standing family tradition as he is a fourth generation member of the armed services.  Click here to view the story that aired on Channel 36  WTVQ.

Congratulations to Akhira Umar!
  Congrats to Akhira who qualified for state recognition and possible summer studies with her ACT score through the Duke TIP program.  Akhira will be honored at a ceremony on May 25, 2012 at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green.

Infinite Campus Parent Portal Now Mobile App
 
Infinite Campus can now be accessed from parents' smart phones!  Log in to the Parent Portal then click on the "Available on the App Store" icon then follow directions listed.  You will need a new user name for this app.  Password remains the same.  Email margaret.spickler@paris.kyschools.us or connie.appelman@paris.kyschools.us for new user name.  Click here for a quick tutorial.

Schedule for Paris Pride Days Announced
Click here to view the schedule for Paris Pride Days!  Pride Days give students and staff the opportunity to sport their Paris Pride!  Jeans and a Paris t-shirt is proper attire for Paris Pride Days.  Jeans may not have holes or frayed areas above the knees.
