Team Building
 Middle School students work on team building exercises during their mentoring group time.

Rock Painting
   8th grade students painted rocks in their mentoring classes to hide around town as part of the kindness movement.

Welcome Back
 Middle School students gathered in the gym on the first day of school
to enjoy games and teambuilding.

8th Grade Promotion
 The 8th Grade Graduates wait to hear their name to walk across the stage.

Students Show Off Art
 7th grade twin sisters, Amyiah and Taesha Speaks showcased their art at the Art Walk.

Field Trip
 8th Graders took a trip to the Underground Railroad Museum in Louisville.

Cheerleaders Recognized
The middle school cheerleading team was recognized at the monthly board meeting for their success at competitions this past winter!

Black History Museum
   Middle school students, staff, parents and community members came together to create their own live exhibit museum for Black History Month.There are pictures on the District page as well as Facebook, and there will be a full page in Wednesday's Bourbon County Citizen. 

Spelling Bee Winners
 Congratulations to Christopher Thomas (left) for winning the middle school spelling bee as a 6th grader, and 7th grader Kentarrion Downey for his runner-up finish. Thomas will advance to the county wide bee.

Students Recognized
Several students were recognized in front of the school for outstanding grades and perfect attendance throughout the first semester.

Duke TIP
Several 7th grade students were selected to the Duke Talented Identification Program. They qualified to take the ACT early.

Field Trip
 Middle School students attended the Hopewell Museum to learn about Still Life. They were able to learn about artists using the method, see examples, and also design their own still life piece.

Veterans Day
Middle and High School students hosted Veterans for lunch and a program that included songs, poetry readings, and guest speakers.

Harlem Ambassadors Visit
 The Harlem Ambassadors put on a show at the Elementary School to discuss bullying. They also used Middle School Students to help with their message.

Students Celebrate

PMS students were treated to a popsicle party for winning the District Attendance Challenge for the month. Each school competes to have the best attendance percentage and the winner is awarded.
In bottom photo, students took a field trip to Gatti-Town. Kids were able to play as well as participate in a learning project.

Battle of Grades
students wear color based on grade 
 Students participated in Homecoming activities all week. They ended with a color battle on which grade would have the most people wear their designated school color! To see more Homecoming pictures visit our Paris Middle & High School Facebook page.

Student Recognized
student with duke gifts   Congratulations to 8th grader Zoe Strings who qualified for the Duke TIP program over the summer. Her selection was based on ACT scores as a 7th grader.
